"I have come Not to disturb or destroy any Faith, But to confirm Each in his own faith So that, the Christian becomes A better Christian The Muslim a better Muslim A Hindu a better Hindu".  Sri Sathya Sai Baba

Who is Sri Sathya Sai Baba?

Sri Sathya Sai Baba was born on Monday, November 23, 1926 in a very tiny, hilly, isolated village called Puttaparthi in the Anantapur District of the present Andhra Pradesh State of India. He is the fourth child of his parents and was named Sathya Narayan Raju.

A few hours before Sathya Narayana Raju's (Sai Baba's) birth, instruments started playing miraculously as if they were in experts hands. At the tender age of three, Sathya showed that he had a heart that melted a human suffering. Sathya also impressed everybody with his love, knowledge, and miraculous powers of materializing objects from nowhere.

On the twentieth day of October, 1940, Sathya quit his schooling and announced that his devotees were calling him and that he had work to do, and left home.

The first sixteen years of his life have been the period when mysterious and joyous activities of childhood predominated.

The next sixteen years were spent mostly in glorious activities in order to give happiness to this generation. After the thirty-second year, Baba has been increasingly active in the task of "Teaching" and directing the world along the path of Truth, Righteousness, Peace and love. Sathya Sai Baba's life is his message for all of mankind.

His devotees number in the countless millions, are of all faith and religions, and come from all over the world.

Do not cage God in a picture,
Do not confine Him in an Idol,
He is all forms, He is all Names.
